PROGRAMS BY THE LYON PUPPETS

The Lyon Puppets have been presenting live performances for museums, performing arts series, and schools for nearly twenty years. Many different programs are available, each featuring humorous scripts, original music, and colorful hand puppets created by puppeteer Rick Lyon. Below is a listing of programs currently available, and a brief description of each. All programs are suitable for family audiences. "THE THREE LITTLE PIGS"
An energetic, interactive adaptation of the traditional folk story, with delightful new puppets, scenery and original music.

"THE MONSTER"
A show about conquering prejudice and bigotry through tolerance and understanding.

"THE BRAVE LITTLE TAILOR"
A lively adaptation of the classic Brothers Grimm story in which a timid tailor learns about honesty and courage.

"JOEY'S ADVENTURE IN SLOPOPOLIS"
A fast-paced show about taking responsibility for oneself and the environment.

"JOEY'S ADVENTURE IN THE AGE OF MAMMALS"
A fantasy adventure back in time to the Pleistocene (also called The Ice Age or the Age of Mammals).

"PRINCESS LENORA AND THE DRAGON"
A delightful original story of a princess, a bold hero, and a dragon, told in the style of a traditional fairy tale.

"REALLY, REALLY TRUE STORIES!"
Fresh adaptations of four world folk stories: "The Boastful Suitor & The Hungry Fox" from the Seneca Indians, "The Marriage of the Mouse's Daughter" from Japan, "The Fisherman & His Wife" from Germany, and "How Poobles Got Long Noses" adapted from a Rudyard Kipling story.

"THE MAGIC ORANGE"
A modern "fractured fairy-tale," about a poor farm boy trying to make his dreams come true by picking a mystical Magic Orange.

"MOM, CAN I KEEP IT?"
An interactive musical romp about a young boy who wants a pet, designed for very young audiences.

"KING BRUNO AND HIS SONS"
A medieval-themed story about a king who devises a test of character to determine which of his sons will inherit his kingdom.
